Child Brain Injury Trust

Supporting families and professionals working with children and young people with an acquired brain injury

When a child acquires a brain injury it can have a devastating effect on all the family.

The Child Brain Injury Trust exists to support families and professionals working with children and young people who find themselves in need of information about what’s happened and how to cope. It is there to listen and to help with practical and emotional issues that may arise over time.

It works in hospitals, schools and in the community and offers face to face meetings, phone and email support.

The Child Brain Injury Trust was established by a group of health professionals in 1991 to research and provide information regarding the effects of ‘traumatic’ injury on a child’s developing brain.
