National Road Victim Month

During the month of August, we are honouring those who have been killed or injured in road collisions. The charity RoadPeace, provide information and support services to people bereaved or seriously injured in road accidents. They also engage in evidence-based policy and campaign work and have organised this annual event in support of their work.

Unsettling statistics

Five people are killed every day on Britain’s roads and over 60 are seriously injured as a result of collisions. Often, we forget how common collisions occur, and therefore why it is so important to campaign for safer roads and reducing road danger. Sadly, nothing can prevent these tragic and fatal road collisions completely, but by advocating for reducing road danger and supporting charities such as RoadPeace, we can hopefully save lives.

How we help

Here at Medical Accident Group, we can see and appreciate the true impact road collisions have. Although nothing can replace a lost loved one, or a life changing injury, our specialist team can help make the future more certain by helping families to claim compensation and financial support such as funeral expenses, and bereavement awards, at a time where they need support the most.

What can I do if I’ve been a victim of a road collision?

  1. Seek medical attention
  2. Report the incident to the police as soon as possible
  3. If you are able to do so, obtain the names and contact details of any witnesses
  4. If you are able, photograph the accident scene and any damage to vehicles involved
  5. Check for CCTV in the vicinity that may have captured the accident

We are happy to act in such cases and will work on a no-win, no-fee basis, please call us on 0800 050 1668 or fill in the form below.
