A treat goes a long way when you’re back and forth on hospital visits. That’s why we continue to support Children of Worcestershire Cancer Fund, a local cause that helps the families of children receiving cancer treatment at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
Something as small as a free milk chocolate cookie means so much more when it shows someone is thinking of you and your circumstances. With the help of fundraising, the charity – managed by the oncology staff at the Trust – can provide Costa Coffee gift cards so that children and their parents or guardians can enjoy a hot drink and a cake during their visit.
Fundraising events including last year’s Casino Evening and even Medical Accident Group’s very own Bingo Gala also go towards funding days out for the children and their families, Christmas treats and essential mobility aids.
Elizabeth Wickson, Senior Associate at Medical Accident Group, said: “We are delighted to continue supporting the fund; their work has a significant impact on the families involved at a very difficult time in their lives. A free Costa Coffee gift card goes a long way and helps with a little treat that many have had to restrict, given the cost of living.
