Footsteps Lantern Walk 2022

Dec 11, 2022

Spetchley Gardens

On Sunday 11th December, Barbara Wright and Peter Savage from MAG will be taking part in this year’s Footsteps Lantern Walk in Spetchley Gardens. The walk allows families to get together and remember those who are sadly no longer with them.

Before the walk, all the families get together as a community and remind one another that they should never walk alone. Baubles are placed on the tables, and the children gathered their write messages for their loved ones who are no longer with them before placing them inside the baubles.

The gardens are then walked around, lanterns in hand, to celebrate and reflect on those who have passed away.

Barbara, a  trustee of the Footsteps Charity, said “It’s important to remember those we’ve lost, and this is a perfect way to do it in a wonderful setting.”
