17- 23 November is Road Safety Week, an initiative organised by Brake, bringing together communities and organisations to promote safety on UK roads.
At Medical Accident Group we act on behalf of clients and their families who have been seriously or catastrophically injured as a result of a road traffic accident. We also act on behalf of families in those tragic circumstances where they have lost a family member.
In addition to the more usual types of accidents, for example where a vehicle pulls out of a side road causing a collision, or where a vehicle moves onto the wrong side of the road during an overtaking manoeuvre, we are also prepared to act in more complex accidents where liability is not so straightforward.
Poor road surface led to fatal incident
Peter Savage and the team are currently acting on behalf of a claimant who lost a leg following an accident involving an uninsured hit and run driver. The claimant has suffered life changing injuries, and the claim involves multiple heads of claims including loss of earnings, care, accommodation and prosthetics. The team are also regularly instructed on fatal RTA claims in which a very understanding and sympathetic approach is taken when dealing with family members in the most difficult of circumstances.
Have you suffered due to a road traffic accident? We can help
Medical Accident Group is also prepared to act in those instances where either the third-party insurer is uninsured, or in a “hit and run” type accident where the third-party driver cannot be traced. In those cases, the team will pursue a claim via the Motor Insurers’ Bureau which effectively steps in to ensure that the injured party, or in the case of a fatality, their families and/or dependents can secure the compensation they are entitled to.
If you or someone you know has been involved in a road traffic incident and are seeking advice concerning a claim, Medical Accident Group has expert lawyers with experience in dealing with such devastating cases. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us – we will provide support and advice to ensure you are not alone.
