Woman getting treatment for her hand after a hand injury

Failure to remove glass following an injury to right dominant hand

Smashed glass leads to four operations

Ruth needed to go to hospital at Northwick Park after her right hand was injured by a smashed beer glass.  She was referred to the plastic surgery department and underwent surgery to remove the glass.  But they failed to remove all of it and she had to undergo three further operations to make sure that it was all removed

Four operations for such a simple procedure seemed wrong to her and Ruth spoke to Medical Accident Group to establish whether a claim against the hospital could be made. We supported and advised her throughout the case, making ourselves available at any time to discuss her concerns; we were very pleased to be able to secure compensation for her.

If you have been the victim of medical negligence and seek advice concerning a negligence claim, then the Medical Accident Group has expert lawyers with experience dealing in these devastating cases.

We will provide support, help and offer the finest advice to ensure you are not in this alone. Call us on 0800 050 1668 or fill in the form below.
