Partner takes senior role in Birmingham Law Society

  • May 1, 2019
  • Inez Brown, partner with Medical Accident Group, has been made Vice President of Birmingham Law Society, one of trio of women at the head of the Society for the coming year.

Inez, who has been involved with the society for seven years, said: “I am delighted to be taking on this role, especially in the year when we mark the centenary of women being able to practise law. Since the Sex Disqualification (Removal) Act 1919 was passed, the profession has changed immeasurably and I look forward to playing my part in supporting lawyers in and around Birmingham.”

The new President is Linden Thomas, who, at the age of 34, is believed to be the youngest ever president the society has ever had. Both she and Inez, along with Stephanie Perraton, the deputy vice president, took up their roles yesterday at the society’s AGM.
