HCR and Medical Accident Group are taking on challenges set by barrister Matthew Brunning of No5 Chambers who suffered a stroke just over a year ago; the firms are coming together to raise money for the Stroke Association.
Matthew, who was 48 when he had his stroke, has set three weekly challenges through December reflecting different aspects of his rehabilitation. Participants will try tongue twisters (speech therapy), juggling (occupational therapy) and balancing exercises (physiotherapy).
Peter Savage, who has known and worked with Matthew for some time, said: “We really want to support Matthew in his campaign to raise awareness of stroke and to raise money for the Stroke Association, so we’re ready and willing to have a go at his challenges and to donate to the charity.
“Do join in and support their work – they make all the difference to people whose lives are suddenly thrown into turmoil and have a long road back to recovery.” Donate here now.
